What is the same on every plan?
The analytics. Every plan gets the identical computed feature set, VPR and confidence bands on every live and upcoming racecard — all computed from the full archive to 1988. We never compute a narrower version of the analytics for a cheaper plan; the plans only decide how far back you can browse.
What does the historical window actually limit?
Browsing depth: past results by day, the run-by-run form lines on horse, jockey and trainer profiles, and VPR history charts. On Starter that is the last month; on Insight the last 12 months; on Pro and Max the whole archive. Aggregates such as career records and splits are always full-history. Anything outside your window shows as locked, with a count of what is there and the plan that unlocks it.
How does the free trial work?
New subscribers get their first 7 days of Insight free. You subscribe with a card through Stripe's hosted checkout, but nothing is charged until the trial ends. Before then you can keep Insight, switch down to Starter or up to Pro, or cancel — all from the billing portal on your account page. Cancel before the trial ends and you pay nothing. We'll remind you by email before it ends. One trial per account.
What does Max add?
The AI research assistant, on top of everything in Pro. Ask questions in plain English about races, horses, jockeys, trainers and courses and get answers grounded in the platform's own analytics, with the numbers shown. Each month includes a question allowance with a visible meter on your account page, so there are no surprise charges. The assistant is built to explain, never to select a winner or advise on wagering.
Do you provide predictions or selections?
No. Veredus produces data and computed analytics only. Subscribers use them as inputs to their own research and judgement.
What exactly is in the analytics?
One row per runner per race with 227 computed features — form, ratings history, jockey and trainer strike rates across multiple time windows, breeding signals, course and draw bias, field-relative context, and change-vs-last-run deltas. Every rate carries its sample-size denominator.
What does 'point-in-time correct' mean?
Every feature for a race is computed only from information available strictly before that race's off-time. Nothing from the race itself or afterwards leaks in. Historical stats that quietly include hindsight are the commonest flaw in racing data; ours can't, because correctness is enforced by tests.
How do I subscribe, change plan, or cancel?
Create a free account, pick a plan, and pay by card through Stripe's hosted checkout. Change plan or cancel any time from the billing portal on your account page — subscriptions are monthly with no minimum term, and plan changes are prorated.
