Frequently asked questions
What exactly is in the dataset?
One flat row per runner per race with 171 computed features — form, ratings history, jockey and trainer strike rates across multiple time windows, breeding signals, course and draw bias, and change-vs-last-run deltas. The full data dictionary is on the API page.
Do you provide predictions or tips?
No. Veredus produces data and computed analytics only. Subscribers use the dataset as input to their own models, research and judgement.
How far back does the data go, and how fresh is it?
The historical corpus covers over 530,000 races back to 1988 and grows every day. Analytics are recomputed daily: final figures after each race day, provisional figures ahead of upcoming racing.
What does 'point-in-time correct' mean?
Every feature for a race is computed only from information available strictly before that race's off-time. Nothing from the race itself or afterwards leaks in, which is what makes the history safe to train and backtest on.
